weiwen facilitates pranayama (breath therapy) and meditation to improve our community’s physical and mental well being. 

​

Awareness-based movement therapy could be incorporated in these sessions

to prepare our body better for pranayama and meditation.

​

Sessions are accessible to everyone; no prior experience is required.

​

Teaching Approach

​

​

weiwen facilitates via Led (technical talk-through) and Mysore-style for the pranayama and meditation sessions.

  • During the technical talk-through, we will analyse the details, deconstruct the steps, and share modifications to ensure everyone can practise, regardless of physical ability.

  • The Mysore-style format will allow you, the participant, the opportunity to integrate the information learnt in the Led segment of the session at your own pace, and also for weiwen to assist each student individually when needed.

The aims of sessions are as follows:

  • The pranayama (breath therapy) sessions improve our physical and mental well being.

  • The meditation sessions cultivate a union of calm-abiding and penetrative insight within each of us. 

​

​

Community sessions are complimentary. If you enjoy the session, consider paying it forward in your own little act of kindness to others. Little acts of kindness, when multiplied by many, can make a world of difference.

​

​

Any merit from these sessions is dedicated to the participants, my parents, loved ones as well as everyone; wishing everyone good health and happiness always.

About facilitator

​

weiwen is a human; he facilitates movement and breathing therapy, as well as meditation.

​

On meditation specifically, he first received formal guidance during his early teens at a monastery retreat in 2000. Since then, he continued to learn and practise various types of meditation, including yogic mediation and ancient mind transformation techniques.

​

weiwen is a certified practising Ashtanga yoga teacher, who also completed his teacher training in Tibetan healing yoga.

​

As another means to improve lives, he also learned professional coaching skills to support the community in life and executive coaching.

​

A Tower of Stones

GENTLE YOGA (FOR THE GOLDEN AGE)

Offering regular gentle yoga practice for the community to calm body and mind. The session is pitched at the basic level so that it is accessible to the elderly. All are welcome.

​

These restorative sessions are an opportunity to pause, unplug and enjoy quality practice time. Each session includes:

​

§  An opening section to re-center breathing

​

§  Gentle poses/ stretches (accessible to all) to relax and heal our body and mind

​
